What are Celluvisc Eye Drops?
Carmellose sodium is the active ingredient in Celluvisc eye drops. It is used for eye lubrication for dry eyes. Dry eyes cause red eyes, irritation, and itchiness. Celluvisc eye drops are used to keep the eye lubricated so that the eyes do not become dry.
The Carmellose produces a gel over the exterior of the eye that is used to keep the eyes moisturized in the same way as tears do. It is a tear substitute. The gel attaches itself to the eye and does not wash away as quickly as other lubricating eye drops do.
